A registration form will need to be completed before you can begin practice to ensure that your teacher is made aware of any medical conditions you may have.

How often should I practice yoga?

The more you practice the better! Practicing in class once a week is a good way to begin. Ideally practicing 3-4 times a week will provide greater progress and more noticeable benefits. Our class timetable allows you to attend class on a daily basis. Additionally if you are able to practice at home you will experience additional benefit.

Are the teachers certified?

Iain Clark is one of only five individuals in Australia to have been personally Certified by the Ashtanga Yoga Master Sri Pattabhi Jois to represent and teach this style of yoga. The other teachers at the school have each been practising for over ten years and have also completed a minimum three year intensive teacher training program at Ashtanga Yoga Shala. All of the teachers at Ashtanga Yoga Shala are registered with the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia. We offer Brisbane's only officially recognised ashtanga yoga classes.

A range of quality yoga mats are also available for sale at the studio. You may also like to bring a bottle of water for drinking after class. Yoga blankets and other necessary props are provided. Yoga is traditionally practiced in bare feet.
